Things to know about...

  • Customers are able to pay the funds either by electronic transfer (from the customer bank account) to the I-Pay Worldwide client funds account or by taking cash into any one of our 8 branches around the UK. Please refer to the Contact Us page for the address details of our branches
  • There may be costs on the receiving side which are outside our control
  • The time that it takes to transfers differs between countries but generally it takes 24 hours (but need to allow for time differences in receiving countries). Note payments to China take 2 working days
  • The service is only available to UK based sending customers


Please follow the seven steps below to carry out your money transfer:

  1. Register:

    All first time customers need to register with us at one of our branches or online before they can process a transaction.


    Personal customers

    Complete and submit the online registration form (just click on the Register button above) – we will need a few basic details about you - such as your name and address.


    You will also need to supply to us a copy of your personal ID. You must send it to us by fax, scanned email or post. Contact details are provided below.


    I-Pay Worldwide will verify customer ID details provided. In some situations the customer will need to provide ‘independently certified’ ID (see below FAQ for more information).

    Once you are registered, we will send by email a username and a temporary password. The customer can send single or multiple transactions up to a value of £800. The temporary password is valid for seven days.


    I-Pay Worldwide will then send in the post to the customer’s home address a permanent password. In order to carry out further transactions, the customer needs to change the temporary password to the permanent password.


    Please note, we may require further information for any transfer of £10,000 or above.

  2. Log into your account:

    Select the Send Money button from the main menu or from the top menu bar and log in using your account details that have been sent to you via e-mail. You will be directed to your account area. The account area is where you can manage and save your transaction details, receiving customer details, etc.



  3. Select a receiving party (someone you’ve sent to before or someone new)

    For someone you have sent to before, select them from the list. If it is someone new, add them in. Please be aware that the more information you provide on the receiving party for your payment, the more able we are to ensure prompt delivery of your payment to them.



  4. Select the method of payment and amount

    Indicate how you will be funding your transfer through I-Pay Worldwide (i.e. funds transfer from your bank account or via cash). Indicate the amount of funds to be transferred. If your transfer can only be funded in cash, call us on 0207 287 7119 to confirm the cash handling fees applicable and the UK location where we can receive your cash.



  5. Confirm the transaction information and authorise

    Make sure all the details on the transaction are correct and then authorise the transaction.



  6. Receive receipt

    A receipt will be displayed which contains all the information on the transfer. This includes both the transaction number and your customer number.



  7. Pay in funds to I-Pay Worldwide

    You now need to arrange transfer of funds to I-Pay Worldwide. This can be done via on line transfer from your bank account. Please ensure that all transfers include your customer number (not the transfer number), to guarantee prompt clearance of your incoming payment. All bank transfers must originate from an account in the name of the sending customer.
